Adding fiber optic Internet service to a property is a great investment for the owner by increasing property values. It also requires that we dig on the property, install a device on the outside of the home, and possibly add a small entry hole into the side of the structure.
In most of our exchanges, Haviland Broadband is the primary telephone service provider and already has lines to every home and business. When we build fiber in one of these towns, we are swapping out the old copper cable and homeowner permission is not necessary.
In Greensburg, we require that renters receive written permission for Haviland Broadband to make these improvements to the property before we can complete the process. We ask that this written permission be provided prior to the site survey.
